Lockland highschool will have a new coach at the side of the mat for the first time in 10 years.
Current coach Joe Schierloh decided to retire at the end of the 2002 season.
Stepping into the position with a big task a head will be former Lockland High School wrestler Joe Godbey.
Joe has been coaching in the middle school ranks for the last few years and with Schierloh stepping down its time for Joe to step up.
The step will have to be a big one as Lockland has only 1 returning wrestler from the 2002 season (Chris Cash).
Joe you may remember was the first wrestler in Lockland history to qualify for the State tournament two times.
Coming on board with Joe as an assistant coach will be Chas Godbey.
We here at fox in the mix want to wish the coaches Godbey good luck. They are going to need it!
